Full review

Setup

Driver Reviver features an easy and quick installation process which takes less than a few minutes to complete. The software makes an initial backup before your first scan which allows for quick backup restoration.

Scan performance

Upon installation, the software conducts an automatic driver scan. The scanning process was efficient and produced very detailed results. The scan results show which drivers are out of date and provide information such as the driver version, file size and a graphical image that labels the driver’s age from old to most recent. Other information such as the number of drivers installed on your computer is also displayed in the results screen. The graph shown next to each driver is incredibly helpful for novice users who simply want to know how outdated their drivers are. The software managed to find the majority of outdated drivers we tested for and offered the latest drivers to install. Out of the 16 drivers we tested for Driver Reviver only missed two of them, which is quite impressive in comparison to its competitors.

Driver database

Driver Reviver regularly updates its database with the latest drivers and has access to over 10 million driver files. It also has access to a wide range of system drivers which are only compatible with Windows operating systems.

Security

Driver Reviver has a range of useful security measures in place to prevent system instability and to keep your computer safe from security risks. A functional backup is made after you install the software and restore points are created before a driver is installed in case you need to revert back to an older driver. Also, the software only utilizes OEM drivers and files that are checked for malware so there is limited risk of harm to your computer. The reporting system allows you to provide feedback on suspect drivers which can be looked into by a company representative.

Features

Startup scan – This feature initiates an automatic driver scan every time the software is booted up.

Driver uninstall – A nifty little feature that enables you to delete specific drivers that are no longer needed by the system.

Ease of use

The software is incredibly easy to use with its intuitive user interface and makes the task of updating system drivers a breeze for non tech-savvy users. Navigation is simple with the clearly labeled tabs and all the settings are easily accessible to the user. Whether you are an advanced or novice user you will have no problems in utilizing this software as it is designed to be very user-friendly.

Help & support

The Driver Reviver website has an abundance of support information available for customers. A database of frequently asked questions provides users with solutions to commonly encountered problems and there is also a user forum which simplifies the process of getting answers to your problems. An email support option is also available but we found it to be quite unresponsive, however the live chat option more than makes up for it.

Overall

Driver Reviver scans your computer for out-dated drivers and provides you with a full report of the results. It effectively updates your drivers to the latest version and is incredibly easy to use so this is a highly recommended system utility.
