Spam
Spam is the digital equivalent of junk mail which may contain offensive or misleading information or potentially carry harmful computer viruses. Most spam is sent from automated spam bots which collect and process email addresses and then send out spam e-mails in bulk. It is very important to never open any e-mail that one believes to be spam as it may contain a virus or a link to visit a web site that looks like an online bank or e-store but is actually a clever copy designed to fool visitors into entering their real bank and/or credit card information.
