Warner Bros has built is own Facebook application that allows users of the website to watch movies online for a small fee.
Its the first time that a major Hollywood movie studio has partnered with a social networking website to provide movie content. Warner Bros and other film makers hope it will be a lucrative new market for them.
The first movie available is "Batman: The Dark Knight". It costs 30 Facebook credits to rent, which is around roughly $3. The movie can be watched and re-watched over a 48 hour period.
More movies are set to be released over the next few months.
