Facebook users find their details stolen by computer virus

Users of the highly popular social networking website are being targeted by a malicious computer virus that collects data from internet searches and steals personal login details.

The worm known as Koobface was first identified in August 2008, but now appears to have been modified by computer hackers to target facebook accounts.

Facebook claim that only a small number of people have been affected by the virus to date. Anyone who comes into contact with the virus should install an effective anti-virus programme to remove it.
