Skype have unveiled an upgrade to its iPhone app that includes free video calling.
The service is very similar to the Apple FaceTime service, but while FaceTime requires a WiFi signal, the Skype service can be used over any 3G network.
Skype will offer free two way video calling for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It's a major upgrade from the first app that was launched in 2009 which only offered text and audio communication.
The app is now available to download from Apple's app store.
