YouTube ready to launch movie rental service

The video sharing website will soon be offering movie rentals.

It is reported that Sony, Warner Bros and Universal have all signed an agreement with the website owned by Google to offer streamed movies.

The move is seen as an attempt by Google to compete with market leaders Netflix and iTunes.

The service will be first launched in the US.
