Full review

The installation process is quick and easy with on screen prompts guiding the user throughout the process. Once the installation is complete the software will create an initial backup and run a driver scan.

Scan performance

Although many of the drivers on our test rig were out of date our scan results did not produce any results. Also, when the scan does produce results it often provides the user with an incorrect driver update to install which in the end causes system instability. The results of the scans were disappointing as the software has some useful features.

Driver database

ParetoLogic has access to over 600,000 driver files which are regularly updated. In theory, this number of driver files available to the software is adequate enough to keep the majority of system drivers up to date.

The software has numerous security measures in place to keep your personal information safe. It stores all personal information on secure servers and all driver files are scanned for malware before they are available for customers to download. The initial backup and regular system restore points made by the software make it easy to revert back to an older driver in case any system instability is encountered.

Scan Scheduler – This feature allows the user to run driver scans on an easily customizable schedule.

Driver uninstall – This is a useful feature that locates unused drivers and allows the user to remove them as they are no longer required.

Ease of use

One of the high points of this software is its user friendly interface. The graphical layout of the software makes it incredibly easy to use and the clearly labeled tabs allow for simple navigation. The driver update procedures are also very simple to follow for even the most novice users. It is clear that the software interface was designed with user friendliness in mind and it certainly achieves that goal.

Help & support

ParetoLogic provides an adequate number of support options. A frequently asked questions database provides users with solutions to commonly encountered problems and an email support option allows customers to contact support directly. Customers can also contact support via telephone or live chat support for more urgent enquiries.

This software provides a range of features and takes extensive security measures to keep your computer safe. Unfortunately, the scans produced no results. Further, the software has a tendency to disrupt internet connection and the task of uninstalling it is a difficult one. These drawbacks make it very difficult to recommend this driver update software to any user.
