Coldplay shun music streaming services

Spotify 'respect' Coldplay's decision to not include their new album.

The bands new album, Mylo Xyloto, will initially not be available on Spotify, Mog or other music streaming services.

It is believed that the band made the decision to not make the album available because they want listeners to hear their new album as a complete work, rather than a series of singles.

"We of course respect the decision of any artist who chooses not to have their music on Spotify for whatever reason. We do however hope that they will change their minds." said a Spofity spokesman.

Some have suggested it maybe a tactical move to get more people to purchase the music through music download services such as iTunes and Amazon rather than listen to it for free. However it is believed that Coldplay's record company are a little embarrassed by the decision.

Adele’s 21 album is also not available on music streaming services.
