Google has today launched a new set of aerial photographs taken at 45 degress which are now available to all to view through Google Maps.
The photographs had previously only been available to developers as part of its Google labs.
The high definition aerial photographs allow you to see landmarks and buildings from the side, so you can appreciate their full depth and scale from above.
The new 45 degree angles are currently limited to several locations within Europe and America, although Google are planning to add many more. Cities include Venice.
Bing has used similar 45 degree angles for some time in its maps application. Google now appears to be catching up.
