Setup

Glary Utilities PRO is very simple to set up. Just download the setup link after the purchase, and then go through a basic installation process. You will be prompted to enter the product key you received after purchase. After the install is complete, the program will ask to perform an initial system scan.

Repair

Repairs with this program are done quite effectively, but in our tests, they took a little longer to complete than other similar programs. Registry repair scans are thorough and find more problems than other programs. It can also back up your registry, so don't be afraid to let the program change your registry if you've recently performed a backup. Overall the program is efficient in its repairs, but it doesn't offer as many options as some of its competition.

Optimization

Glary Utilities PRO does a fine job of optimizing PCs for better performance. The program will analyze your system and give recommendations on how you can improve performance. It will clean your hard drive, run defragments, and more.

Management

Glary Utilities PRO allows you to manage your system easily. The program allows you to choose start-up programs and boost start-up speeds. The amount of impact of each program on your start-up time is listed next to each application.

There is also an uninstaller packed in with the program. The uninstaller can even notify you when an application hasn't been used in a certain amount of time.

Security

Security is where this program lacks. Features like anti-spyware and file encryption are missing from Glary Utilities PRO. Other similar programs have these features included, so unless you have another program that does these things already, you may want to consider looking elsewhere if you desire these features. It does come with a file shredder, which can delete files with no traces left behind.

Features

1-Click Optimization - This feature allows for multiple repairs and fixes to be performed all with one click. Instead of going through menus and performing jobs one-by-one, you can simply just click the big green button on the main screen. This feature will be a treat to new users.

Scheduler - Scans and repairs can be scheduled for specified times. Just set the times, and the program will do it's work even if you're away from the computer.

Repair drives - Glary Utilities PRO can analyze hard drives and repair them for maximum performance.

Ease of use

Glary Utilities PRO has an attractive interface with easy to read menus. It uses a tab system which is very easy to understand, so new users should know where they are going right away. Just like any other program like this one, there will a learning curve for novice PC users. Anyone with any PC knowledge will understand most of the terminology. The program is user-friendly.

Help & support

Glary Utilities PRO has excellent help & support. There is the option for self-help, which includes help tutorials and FAQ's. There is also Agent support which includes help by live chat, email, or phone. Not many programs offer this many portals of help, so it's nice to see one that gives it all.

Overall

Glary Utilities PRO is great at what it does, but it doesn't offer quite as much as the top-shelf programs in its class. It does a good job of repairs and optimizing PC performance, but it doesn't offer the security and features of its competitors. However, if you have good security software already, you may want to take a look at Glary Utilities PRO.
